It may well be June but that has never stopped the weather in England from being predictably unpredictable.
If you’re heading to Ascot Racecourse on any of the five days of Royal Ascot 2022 then you can be forgiven for naturally wanting to take a brolly. What’s more important, however, is to check the official going and weather forecast if you’re planning to have a flutter.
Drying conditions could alter your hope’s chances or you might be doing a rain dance to get a bit of cut in the ground if you’ve backed a soft-ground lover.
To save you from doing a spot of amateur meteorology, you’ll find the official going and weather forecast for Ascot below.
The official going at Ascot ahead of today’s races remains Good to Firm after an inspection on Saturday morning, June 18. A total of 6mm of water was applied to the whole track after racing on Thursday.
It’s expected to be a dry day generally with some light showers later in the afternoon on the fifth and final day of Royal Ascot 2022. Temperatures are predicted to reach around 24 degrees. If you’re heading to the racecourse you might need your umbrella or even a rain poncho – with a suit and tie print on it of course – on the way home! Though course bigwigs have relaxed the dress code in recent days following soaring temperatures.
