While this year's Field of Dreams Game matchup between the Cubs and Reds isn't going to be particularly sexy, the uniforms they'll be wearing are.

As with the inaugural edition of the game held in the Iowa cornfields, this year's Field of Dreams Game features some unique duds that offer a peek back in time for two of MLB's most historic franchises. This, of course, plays to the old-timey feel of the 1989 film, "Field of Dreams."

While both the histories of the Reds and Cubs stretch back to before the turn of the 20th century, the uniforms that both teams will be wearing are a little bit more recent. Here's what you need to know about this year's Field of Dreams uniforms for both the Cubs and Reds.

Both the Cubs and the Reds will have unique uniforms for this Thursday's Field of Dreams game.

The Cubs' uniforms are reminiscent of throwback duds from the early 1900s. The uniforms are a cream base and feature a bear cub holding a bat inside the C, stitched on the front left of the unis.

The hats are blue and feature the same bear, holding a bat.

The Reds' uniforms are also a throwback to the early 1900s. They feature a pinstriped top, with "Reds" inside the chest logo. The hats feature an old-time C and also feature pinstripes. 

The uniforms are reminiscent of their 1919 unis.
