The 2022 British Open had no shortage of entertaining spectator moments.

On Friday, USA Network cameras caught a fan struggling to put on a poncho in the windy weather when rain fell over the Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland.

The broadcasters had a field day narrating the moment and couldn’t help but laugh.

“This guy is struggling,” one of the broadcasters said, laughing.

“Look at his buddy laughing at him,” another broadcaster said, referring to a male spectator that attempted to help get the poncho over the man’s head.

“They still haven’t found the opening,” added one broadcaster, while another asked, “Where are the sleeves?”

In another viral moment at the Open Championship, cameras captured a little girl who dropped her stuffed animal bear inside the ropes of the course. The broadcasters had one more laugh when a woman finagled through the ropes to rescue the bear.

“It’s official, the bear has come out of hibernation,” one broadcaster said.

Meanwhile, on the course, Tiger Woods missed the cut at the 2022 British Open, later admitting he “had a few tears” during his emotional exit. He received a standing ovation on the 18th hole as he tipped his hat to the cheering crowd.

The Open is not expected to return to St. Andrews until 2027, when Woods will be 51.
